Aniversários - Glenn Gould

Glenn Gould faria hoje 89 anos. Grande pianista e célebre interprete das obras de Bach, esse compositor a quem Douglas Adams se referiu nestes termos: 

Beethoven tells you what it's like to be Beethoven and Mozart tells you what it's like to be human. Bach tells you what it's like to be the universe.

"Here, in this valuable footage, you see Gould's process: he plays, then goes away from the instrument to think about the passage and sing it. This is a process of internalizing the music. All the greats did this. It is crucial to practice away from the instrument. You should be able to sing everything you play.
